Short Term Disability
Your income is your most valuable asset, without it what would you do? How long could you continue to pay your bills? If you work for a paycheck, you NEED disability insurance! Short Term Disability can protect your income up to almost 70% (in most states) if you cannot work due to an injury, a sickness, or even maternity leave. It is very affordale and gives you multiple options of coverage.
Accident Insurance
Our accident plan features a flexible plan design so that you can choose the coverage that best meets your individual needs. Coverage is available for both on-and off-job accidents and several optional riders are available so you can choose any additional protection you or your family may need.
Designed to supplement your employer-sponsored insurance coverage, Colonial Life's accident insurance pays specific benefit amounts to help pay the out-of-pocket expenses related to an accidental injury that your existing coverage wouldn't cover.
Benefits from your Colonial Life accident plan can help you pay the following types of expenses:
- Expensive medical treatment for broken bones and dislocations, or physical therapy, crutches, wheelchairs or other medical aids you may need as a result of your accident.
- Co-payments and deductibles.
Cancer or Critical Illness Insurance
You don't plan to be diagnosed with cancer or a critical illness. What would you do if this happened? Both Colonial Life's Cancer and Critical Illness Insurance plans are designed to supplement your major medical coverage to help you with the high cost of cancer and critical illness treatment.
With Cancer or Critical Illness Insurance from Colonial Life, you can take the next step after diagnosis with comfort and reassurance. Benefits from a Colonial Life cancer or critical illness plan will help you pay the following types of out-of-pocket expenses:
- Home health care or caregivers you may require.
- Home or automobile modifications.
- Mortgage, utility bills and other everyday living expenses.
- Travel costs to and from treatment centers.
Hospital Confinement Indemnity Insurance
Being admitted to the hospital is something you hope you or your family will never have to experience. However, if you had to stay in the hospital, do you have enough set aside to cover the out-of-pocket costs associated with a hospital stay? What if you have to be in the hospital for a week or more? Those charges add up. How will you pay the expenses that accumulate with each day you are in the hospital?
Limited Benefit Medical Insurance from Colonial Life
Health insurance expenses may be one of the fastest-growing cost components for employers. Therefore, as much as they would like to, employers may find it impossible to offer their employees health insurance and still manage their business costs.
Fewer U.S. employers are offering health benefits, mostly because many new smaller employers (3-199 employees) have chosen not to pay for health insurance.
A limited benefit medical plan is a lower-cost alternative to major medical insurance. However, where traditional health insurance provides protection against preventative, regular and major or catastrophic medical events, limited benefit medical plans cover only certain routine medical expenses such as doctor's office visits, diagnostic tests and hospital confinement.
The Colonial Health Advantage plan is not designed to replace a major medical, other comprehensive and/or catastrophic plan. It is limited coverage that may not provide a reimbursement for all medical expenses a policyholder may incur.
